The Christian Sabbath Part 12: Conclusion

– 1 Min Read

Alright, alright. I know, it’s time to end this thing already. If you have endured it this far I thank you for your time. It is truly a privilege that someone would even read the stuff I write. But thanks for reading. It is God’s opinion that matters, not mine. Please, chew on the scriptures and think about them intently. Pray that God helps you understand how you ought to please Him on the Lord’s Day, whether you think it’s the Sabbath or not. Just remember it is a serious thing to remove a commandment from the Decalogue.

I hope that more believers will be encouraged to enjoy the Lord and the Lord’s Day. I pray that believers will take the assembly seriously and enjoy doing so. We, the local church, get to participate in one of the most wonderful experiences this side of glory when we assemble together and worship the One True God. Take comfort in the Lord’s Day. Keep it holy unto the Lord for He has commanded it of you. Remember Him and worship Him with the saints.

Remember that the Lord’s Day is not about you, but it is for you. It is about worshipping God in the ways that He has prescribed to us and it is for our benefit. We get to worship the Lord directly and corporately. The curtain has been torn in two. We now have direct access to the Father because of the work of the Son. And when we do approach Him, we are welcomed because we are found in Christ.

Brothers, and sisters, what a glorious God we serve! I look forward to seeing you this Lord’s Day.
