Description of The Course
How do the Old Testament and New Testament relate to each other and fit together in the canon of Scripture? And for that matter; how does each book of the Bible relate to all the other books of the Bible? What is the relationship, if any, between Old Testament Israel and the New Testament Church? In this class, we seek to answer these questions and provide a helpful understanding of the Bible’s metanarrative through the biblical covenants. Covenants are Scripture’s natural backbone and help us formulate a cohesive path from Adam to Christ. Book by book, covenant by covenant, person by person, event by event, testament by testament, we will unpack the natural progression and flow of the Bible. This class will be provided through the lens of a covenant theology found in our Particular Baptist forefathers (such as the framers of the 1689 London Baptist Confession).
